Finally, there is a glasses option to correct vision and slow the worsening of myopia, also known as near-sightedness (when the distance vision is blurry). Myopia nearly always worsens in children and this special glasses lens slows that down! Called Stellest lenses, they have just been FDA approved for use in the United States!
Stellest lenses
Correct myopia - Giving your child vision as sharp as with single vision lenses
Control myopia progression - Slow down myopia progression by 67% on average
No compromises - Aesthetic, safe and simple
In the picture above, the lenslets were added to demonstrate how Stellest lenses work. The lenslets are actually invisible! You can only see how they affect light by looking at the shadow!
How does it work? Essilor’s HALT technology (Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target). Each lens has a constellation of 1,021 invisible lenslets acting as a shield against myopia progression. When is it available? It should be available starting November 2025! We are very excited to add this option to our custom Myopia Control Programs!
